Moshekwa Langa

I have been reading recently about the African visual artist Moshekwa Langa who has a reputation for doing work that is engaging but at the same time difficult to classify or predict. Later this month I hope to check out the extraordinary art of diffferent African photographers, including Langa, at the ICP. (For those reading this blog in other parts of the world, including South Asia, I would urge you to sample the genuinely exciting range of images from Africa available for view on the ICP website.) The work above is from an exhibition at the Walker Art Center called How Latitudes Become Forms: Art in a Global Age.
