Today’s Pictures

Check out Slate magazine’s feature called Today’s Pictures, the stunning visual portfolio of work by Magnum photographers.
I especially enjoyed the “interactive essays” because they are superb audio-visual diaries by photographers who are setting into motion their experience and their aesthetic. Burt Glinn’s stylish black-and-white pictures, for instance, paying homage to the Cuban revolution, emblematize his credo: “I think what you’ve got to do discover the essential truth of the situation, and have a point of view about it.” Here’s one of his images:
